Hi there,

What’s this site all about?

Well, I recently turned 40 and was pretty unhappy wth the way I looked and felt. Twenty years ago I was into bodybuilding and really enjoyed lifting weights. Well, I’m back into it now training hard and watching what I eat. Unfortunately, I don’t have the same energy as I did when I was a younger man. So I have started taking supplements to help me recover and get back into shape. With so many different protein powders and supplements out there I thought I would put together a site on products I use and intend to try.

I hope you find my blog posts and product reviews helpful.

Thanks for finding your way here.

Xtreme NO pillsProtein powders such as Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Gold Standard and BSN True-Mass Ultra Premium are great for post workout recovery and help you build muscle mass with a consistent bodybuilding training program and appropriate diet. However, if you are looking for a supplement to give you an edge and maximise your weight training results then you ought to consider taking Xtreme NO Herbal Supplement.

In short, Xtreme NO is a simple supplemental addition to your diet that you take 30-60 minutes before your workout. You just take two tablets with a mouthful of water and you are done. There is no need to worry about blending Xtreme NO with low-fat milk or water like you have to with protein powders. Read on for a complete Xtreme NO review.

HGH Energizer SupplementDo you know why we experience less energy, have more body fat, and have a weaker immune system as we age? Of course there are a number of reasons, but one of them is the due to the decrease in Human Growth Hormone (HGH). By the time we reach the age of 60 our natural production of HGH is half of what it was when we were 20 years old.

HGH is used as prescript medicine to treat children who have growth failure caused by Growth Hormone deficiency. It is also used to treat obese adults who have low levels of energy and poor muscle mass. Because of HGH anabolic nature it is a banned substance by the International Olympic Committee. However, this hasn’t stopped professional athletes from using it. And it shouldn’t stop you.

deer antler plus pillsMy research into muscle growth, protein powders alternatives and bodybuilding supplements has uncovered a number of surprizing and unusual products. One product in particular that has spiked my interest and had me researching for a several days is Deer Antler Plus.

Deer antler has been used in China for over 2,000 years as a medicinal treatment for numerous conditions and ailments such as infertility, joint inflammation, and hypertension. Deer antler is also said to improve mental alertness and memory, boost immune system function, speed wound healing and recovery, slow aging, balance iron levels, improve libido in both sexes, and restore joint health. Sounds too good to be true, doesn’t it?

Muscle Advance Creatine SupplementCreatine is big buzz word in bodybuilding. If you are looking to build serious muscle then you should be taking a creatine supplement.  Creatine is like fuel for your muscles.  It is a natural acid your body produces to supply energy to your muscles. Athletes who perform sports or activities, such as weight training and sprinting, that put an intense demand on the body benefit greatly from creatine . In short, creatine can improve athletic performance and help you gain muscle.

However, with so many supplements and protein powders promoting the benefits of creatine working out which one that will best suit your needs may be difficult. My research has shown me that the choice of pro athletes and bodybuilders in Muscle Advance Creatine Monohydrate.

No Nonsense Muscle BuildingWatching and feeling your body grow is quite an amazing thing. It is very satisfying to see your body change and grow muscle after spending many hours working out, drinking hundreds of protein powder shakes,  and eating lots of chicken and turkey breasts, eggs, broccoli, canned tuna, brown rice, more eggs, more chicken breasts…….,you get the picture, right?  However, for some of us, myself included, gaining muscle can be a real struggle.

With my recent return to training I have found it much harder to put on muscle than I did when I was in my twenties. I know that my diet  and nutrition is right – I am eating a high protein diet and taking Xtreme NO, a muscle enhancing supplement that allows me to work harder and get better results for the effort I put in. However, I think my body has become accustomed to my weight training routine. So I have decided to mix things up.

I recently  purchased a body weight focused training program called No Nonsense Muscle Building. I have never worked out so hard in my life and I am starting to see results already. Continue reading this No Nonsense Muscle Building review to find out if the program will suit you.

Ultimate Pull-up GuideHow many pulls can you do? At my best, I could do fifteen nice slow pull ups, but that was more then twenty years ago. Now, I can only get out about 5 out. Carrying an extra 10 kgs of fat around doesn’t help at all.

One of my goals as part of my big plan to lose weight and get fit this year is to be able to do 20 pull-ups, straight. Pull-ups used to be one of my favorite exercises. I loved the pump they brought to the arms. And, for me they really separated the men from the boys at the gym. When a friend recommend me a product called The Ultimate Pull-Up Program, I decided to get it.

BSN Synth-6 Protein PowderWhat is the best protein powder to buy? Well, I don’t think anyone can answer this question. You would have spend months or even years trying and testing many different protein powders, and even then you couldn’t provide a definitive answer. Also, if we keep in mind that there are various kinds of protein powders – isolate, weight gainer, blends etc, it is stupid to name one as the best.  The best answer I can give is that there are many very good protein powders.

In fact, I recommend that you try a variety of protein powders so that your body does not get used to them thereby decreasing their effect. If you try different protein powders every so often  it should prevent you developing any food intolerances or  allergies. Right now I am using BSN Syntha-6 protein powder. Read on for my BSN Syntha-6 Protein Powder Review.

I don’t know why I don’t get up every morning and exercise., instead of going just 4 or 5 days a week. I find that if I get up early and get to the gym by 6.00 the rest of the day is brings great things. If I miss a workout, then the day drags on, and on some days I feel a little blue.  My pick-me-up was once coffee. It is now 40 minutes of hard cardio and ab workout.

Cardio – some people love it, most people hate it. I used to hate cardio, but now I like it if I do it first thing in the morning. I keep my cardio sessions short and intense. I don’t watch the news on the gym TVs or chat to people. I really focus on what I am doing .

I also find that if I exercise on an empty stomach I really feel great after a morning workout. It is as if I am cleansing my body.  If you exercise on an empty stomach you ultimately burn more fat. You just need to make sure you eat enough protein with your post workout meal.

When I do cardio I use a X-trainer because it is low impact and works both the legs and upper body. I don’t really worry about how many calories I  burn.  I just listen to my body and go for a lot of itensity. I usually judge my workouts by how much I sweat and how much water I drink.

Your cardio has to be hard to get results. You need to be sweating for at least 20 to 30 minutes. If you aren’t, then you are just wasting time.  I know a lot of people dislike doing cardio. In fact, just the idea of doing 20 to 40 minutes of cardio turns most off to going to the gym. If you don’t like doing cardio, then I suggest you take a look at Turbulence Training. It is a program of cardio free fat loss workouts using weight training exercise and interval training to burn fat, get rid of stubborn belly fat, and build muscle.  Take a look at this video.

So if you want to have days where everything goes right, get to the gym early and work the body hard on an empty stomach. You can do cardio, weight training, swimming, body weight training or give Turbulence Training a try. It is up to you. Just make sure you get to the gym in the morning.
